Baby Shanique Walker, who was first featured in the Jamaica Observer of Tuesday, May 31, suffers from a skin condition named Vitiligo, which is characterised by portions of the skin losing their pigmentation, doctors have told the Sunday Observer. There is no known cure for the condition, which has also affected a portion of her hair. Several readers have reacted to the first published photo of baby Shanique and her mother with all of them wanting to find out what had affected the youngster.
