Finance Minister Audley Shaw (second left) has been touring several European cities where he has been meeting with potential buyers of Jamaica bonds. Shaw said yesterday that he and his team, which includes Financial Secretary Devon Rowe and the Governor of the Bank of Jamaica Bryan Wynter, are to have talks with more than 20 such corporate entities in London, England; Frankfurt in Germany; Vienna in Austria; Armsterdam in Holland, and Zurich in Switzerland. Shaw, while in London, attended a special luncheon arranged by Jamaica promotions Corporation and the Jamaica High Commission, at which his delegation was joined by the Chairman of the Economic Growth Council Michael Lee-Chin (right). The function was also attended by current and potential investors in Jamaica, as well as the representatives of the British Government and Parliament. Joining Shaw and Lee Chin for a photo op after the luncheon are Hugh Hart (left) of Knightsbridge Capital and a former minister of mining, energy and tourism; Oliver Rothschild (centre) of Oliver Rothschild Corporate Advisors; and Laurence Jones (second right), European regional manager, Jampro.
