Mandeville, Manchester — The remote community of Banana Ground in eastern Manchester will be on alert later this week as their very own, Elaine Thompson, begins her campaign to win medals in the sprints at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The 24-year-old Thompson, at her first Olympics, is among the favourites to take the sprint double (100 metres and 200 metres).
