It was on these pages that Brown found space to express her nascent love for people in need and more importantly, to get assistance for those who needed it most. The pages of Observer North & East during her editorship were replete with the many articles, discovered and developed by Sister Ingrid, as she was known to many of her colleagues. These articles highlighted the plight and suffering of ordinary Jamaicans. She believed in the people of Jamaica and by making their situation known to the wider Jamaican public, Brown was able to lend her support and in many instances provided relief for many.
