It was a master class in law presented by attorney-at-law John Graham to Norman Manley Law School graduates and lawyers-in-waiting Josemar Belnavis, Vanessa Lalasingh, Francois McKnight, Kathryn Williams, Nasha-Kaye Virgo, Regina Wong and Alexander Corrie. Ably supported by members of his practice, notably Annaliesa Lindsay, Peta-Gaye Manderson and Stephanie Graham, and over a late lunch inside The Blue Window Restaurant of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, the suave attorney shared his legal gems. There were many, but each nugget worthy of note. The lawyers-in-waiting were encouraged to show up each day fully armed. “Preparation is key,” he shared. “Clients do not pay lawyers for excuses. Success is doing the same right things every day.” There were also cautionary words. “Clients can be your worst enemy. Protect yourself!”
