BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) — Syrian government forces and allied militias captured Aleppo’s centrally located al-Shaar neighbourhood from rebels yesterday, securing nearly three quarters of the besieged enclave less than two weeks after launching a ground offensive, according to the Syrian military.
