On Wednesday, December 7, in a story headlined UN Environment launches office in Kingston, we reported that the newly opened UN Environment Caribbean office will subsume the existing Caribbean Environment Programme being run out of the Caribbean Regional Coordinating Unit. We wish to clarify that while the Caribbean Office is a sub-office of the global UN Environment, it has a different portfolio from the Caribbean Environment Programme, which is host to the Secretariat of the Regional Seas Programme/Cartegena Convention.
