Relocation of Metcalf Street juvenile centre suggested after gunshots hit staff bus

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Representatives from the Ministry of National Security, the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) and the Denham Town police this morning met to discuss security concerns arising from Tuesday evening’s incident in which the windshield of the bus assigned to Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Centre was damaged during gun fire along Hannah Street.
