Mocho Primary and Infant School in Clarendon has been reaping success in the past decade from a wide-ranging literacy programme geared at encouraging its students to read more. Among the measures implemented are a journalism club, a pen pal club, and the Read Aloud system, where teachers source books and loan them to students on a weekly basis.
