Jamaican model Shamique Simms, 24, poses for the camera following the announcement that she is the Caribbean’s Next Top Model ( CaribeCNTM). Simms, who was featured on the FLOW-sponsored regional TV series, beat 16 other Caribbean models, including three other Jamaicans, to cop the top spot. The finale of CaribeNTM took place on Monday. Two contestants — Samantha West from Trinidad and Nkechi Vaughn Guyana — tied for second place. Along with the title of being the Caribbean’s Next Top Model, Simms was also awarded US$25,000 in cash; an international modelling agency contract with Mint Model Management, NY; a cover feature and editorial spread in SHE Caribbean magazine; and the latest generation iPhone from FLOW.
