French troops take Mali airport

SEVARE, Mali (AP) — French forces took control the airport in Kidal, seizing a key position in the last remaining urban stronghold of Islamist extremists in northern Mali, officials said yesterday, with France's foreign minister said French forces would depart Mali "quickly."
