Last week Minister of Youth and Culture Lisa Hannah, announced that there will be no Festival Song Contest this year. Instead, the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission will ask Jamaicans to vote for their favourite festival song as part of the island's 50th independence celebrations. Yesterday, the Jamaica Observer asked members of the public to name their favourite festival song of all time. These were some responses:
