Fate must have had a hand in it. On Wednesday, April 16, 1952, Valerie and Maurice Facey were married in the St Andrew Parish Church, Half-Way-Tree, at which his father, Cecil B Facey was the people's warden. On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, on the exact date of his 61st anniversary, Maurice Facey again packed the St Andrew Parish Church for the thanksgiving service for his life.
