A revelation by the Ministry of Education about a draft Bill to give the education minister the power to close down non-performing schools has won little support from Jamaica Observer online readers. The revelation was made by Jean Hastings, director of the Education System Transformation Programme, during this week's Monday Exchange with the newspaper's editors and reporters.
