BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — The prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, has arranged a special meeting of the Caricom Bureau for next Tuesday to consider "effective initiatives" against a controversial new law in the Dominican Republic (DR) that jeopardises citizenship status of thousands of immigrants of Haitian descent in that Caribbean state.
