JAMAICA Observer readers have greeted a threat issued by commuters to stage a boycott of the service of the State-owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC). In an article yesterday, disgruntled commuters voiced their displeasure over the discontinuation of the trasfer system, which will effectiively double their transportation costs. They say a message should be sent to the JUTC that the move is unfair. However, readers have offered differing opinions on the threat. Here are some edited comments:
