Hagley Park Road, in the vicinity of the Portmore bus stop, was reduced to single-lane traffic yesterday as a team from the Jamaica Defence Force demolished old buildings on the property which was once the base for the Ministry of Housing. The Jamaica Observer understands that the building is being turned over to the Ministry of Justice and will be the site of a family court. Permanent Secretary in that ministry Carol Palmer was seen observing the progress of the work, which started on Thursday and is expected to continue for the next two to three weeks.
