Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) are that about 9:10 pm, a team of officers on patrol on the Hurlock main road signalled the driver of a Toyota Corolla motor car to stop. The police say the driver complied, however, when the lawmen were approaching the vehicle, men aboard reportedly opened gunfire at them and sped away.
