A declaration that the Chinese seaport to be built on the Goat Islands will create 10,000 permanent jobs has been greeted with scepticism by Jamaica Observer online readers who question whether the positions will be filled by Jamaican or Chinese nationals. The disclosure was made by Port Authority of Jamaica Chairman Professor Gordon Shirley in an interview with the Observer Tuesday at the Jamaica Logistics Hub Symposium in downtown Kingston.
