World renowned track and field coach Glen Mills OJ will have a race run in his honour on Burger King Superstakes day set for Saturday, November 14 at Caymanas Park.
The legendary sprint coach will be having the 28th running of the Caribbean Sprint championship over six furlongs for a purse 1.75 million dollars, named in his honour.
Last year's winner ‘Potcheen’ from the barn of inform veteran trainer Harry Parsard will be back to defend his title.
‘Poker Star"....’Dripping in Gold’, ‘Buzz Nightmare’ and ‘Mom's Student" are the three year olds invited .
Meanwhile, the 37th running of $4.5 million prestigious Superstakes over 10 furlongs will see a clash of the country's best stayers.
‘Typewriter’ which will be seeking to join ‘Mark my Word’ with a third consecutive victory in the event, will be facing the inform ‘Perfect Neighbour’, ‘Commanding Chief’ and company.
There will be special cash incentives up for grabs, with over $300,000 dollars on offer.
The winning trainer, jockey and groom with the most points on the day, will each receiving 100-thousand dollars.
