GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer
Bishop Clive Reid is somewhat unique. He has seen something that not many others have.
The bishop who is in charge of several branches of the Emmanuel's Hope Reformed Church of God in Manchester and Clarendon said he has seen God raise a woman from the dead.
"I have seen great, great signs and wonders and miracles. I had the privilege to see God raise the dead," Bishop Reid told THE STAR.
He said the miracle took place at Jacob's Hut in Clarendon, where he and others were starting a new church. He said that he and two other ministers were there.
Bishop Reid said it began when a colleague informed him that a girl had died and was lying on a bench in the church.
"When I got there the whole community was out ... everybody (was) wondering what God could do and what would have happened there," Bishop Reid said.
According to Reid, there were spectators who were highly critical and wanted to see if the power of God was real.

The Bishop said they took up the woman's cold, lifeless body and prayed until her chest felt warm again.
"It was three of us. The rest of ministers, about three of them, fled the scene saying 'we have to go now, we have to go', because they thought it was a hopeless situation. They gave up before the process started, but we believed that God would have worked a miracle," said Bishop Reid whose faith in God is even more powerful now.
The Bishop said that it was not long after they had finished praying that God answered them.
He said the woman got up as if she was coming out of a dream. He said he asked her what her name was, and the problem and was given answers. The woman was given a cup of tea and later walked home. She is said to be still alive.
After that miracle Bishop Reid said he thought the people who witnessed it, especially those who were not saved, would have attended the church meeting. But, that was not the case.

"It did not change anything about the community. The people believed that it was just that simple. But, while I was on my way home I spoke to God and said 'God I have never seen this'. And God spoke to me and said, 'All miracles are easy. It's just because this is the first time you have been put to the test or challenged to see me bring back the dead to life'," Reid said.
The minister who is married to Donnett Reid and has two children, David and Ruth, said he is praying for a dramatic turn around in Jamaica. He explained that the fury of God has been poured out on the country because of the many injustices and the lawlessness that have existed here for many years.
He said when the people of Jamaica turn to God our problems will be solved.
Reid who has been saved for more than 18 years is a former sound system selector. He used to sport earrings, wear Jeri curls and smoked ganja. He said the night he got saved at a meeting in Mandeville, he had ganja in his pocket.
