fi fi me, I never heard my parents argue...never...not about money, not about anything...I knew wen they had an issue as mi Fada was juvenile in his behaviour, like not eating wat was fi dinner....never understood dat since my mother never cooked a meal in all the time I lived at home...guess, his having the helper fix him something else was his way of dissenting with her decision making aka the meal
as fi raising him hand to her, dang, he never raised his voice to her...he would get passionate in political discussions with visitors but never heard him raise his voice to her
he believed in spanking us but it was always after we broke one of his rules, n since I was the one who lived longest in the household, I got more, but he was never into hitting just fi hitting....hated the long interrogation, then lecture before the straps to the palms
As to immediate family , I never saw it...maybe because our women didn't roll that way...we didn't go along to get along with ANY man n none would dare .....fi real...Aunties, etc, never saw or heard dem in any such incident
so anyone grew up in this scenario that so many now admit it having experienced
