Triple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has confirmed that he is having a more restful sleep since receiving a new Sealy Sleep System from McIntosh Bedding.
The superstar athlete, who captured the attention of the world with his record-breaking performances at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was recently presented with a Posturepedic Acclaim, courtesy of the world-renowned sleep systems of Sealy Posturepedic, manufactured and marketed locally by McIntosh Bedding Company Limited.
"I had problems with my back while growing up so it is good that we have something like this to help out. Right now it feels as if I'm getting the right amount of sleep and this is good for my performance," said Bolt.
<span style="font-weight: bold">The Sealy sleep systems are being provided by McIntosh Bedding for all the Jamaican medallists from Beijing after each of them has completed a comprehensive restful sleep profile.</span> Bolt was recently guided through his personal restful sleep profile by Donald McIntosh and Kevin White, managing director and hospitality co-ordinator respectively at McIntosh Bedding.
During his profile, Usain Bolt outlined his sleep patterns, <span style="font-weight: bold">preferred sleep positions</span> and the type of mattress that would ensure that he gets the perfect night's rest while protecting his body, especially his back from any side effects. The Olympic champion says the Sealy sleep system would go a long way in helping in his preparations for the World Athletics Championships in Germany in 2009.
"Although we had a little setback, things are getting back together. The programme is now on schedule and I am training very hard," noted Bolt.
Mr McIntosh said his company was so inspired by the dynamism of Jamaica's exploits in Beijing that it was an easy decision to provide all the medallists with personalised Sealy sleep systems.
