Joseph Hibbert, former Junior Minister in the Transport and Works Ministry has been hospitalized.
Mr. Hibbert was rushed to the Andrews Memorial Hospital in Kingston Friday morning after complaining of feeling ill.
This was confirmed by his attorney Ernest Smith.
"Member of Parliament Hibbert today suffered a mild heart attack. He is resting and in high spirits but is to remain in hospital for observation," he said.
Mr. Hibbert recently resigned from the Transport and Works Ministry following bribery allegations in the controversy surrounding international bridge building company Mabey and Johnson Limited.
