Three-year-old boy kidnapped in Clarendon

POLICE are reporting that a three-year-old boy was released yesterday after being kidnapped in the Frankfield area of Clarendon on Sunday.
The boy was taken away while in the company of his aunt by a male travelling in a white car.
<span style="font-style: italic">A ransom of $500,000 was demanded within an hour of the kidnapping. However</span>, <span style="font-weight: bold">after several hours of negotiation, the kidnappers reduced their demand to a gold chain and $4,000.</span>
The child was then released unhurt at 6:30 pm, at the Spalding Hospital gate. Police say they are following strong leads in their investigation.
