WANNABE RAPIST FLEES LEAVING SLIPPER... After victim fights back

[<span style="font-style: italic">b]Like Cinderella</span>, a St Catherine man recently fled a scene leaving a single slipper behind[/b].
Unlike the fairy tale, however, this man was not racing the clock, instead, it is alleged that he ran after a woman he was allegedly attempting to rape and she began raining blows on him.
The man was picked up by the police on Saturday morning near Bog Walk.
THE STAR was informed that on Friday, about 9 p.m., the woman was leaving her house at Knollis for a wake.
Police reports to THE STAR are that the woman was attacked by the man from behind in her yard. The woman, however, fought off her attacker and unleashed several hefty blows upon him. He ran leaving one foot of his slippers behind.
The woman then went to the Bog Walk police and lodged a report. An investigation was launched, which resulted in his arrest.
Police told THE STAR that the name of the man is being withheld pending further investigations.
