POLICE in Toronto believe Can$200,000 worth of goods, allegedly stolen, which were seized during a routine traffic check, were intended for shipment to Jamaica.
CTV, in a report today, said 50-year-old woman was pulled over while driving on Yonge Street near Gilbert Road in Aurora on August 11.
The driver was found to be in breach of a probation order and police searched her vehicle in York, when stolen items were recovered. A further investigation found about <span style="font-weight: bold">$200,000 worth of clothing, jewelery, toiletries, air fresheners and sheets</span>, police said.
The TV report said evidence suggesting the suspect intended to ship the goods to Jamaica for resale was also found.
CTV said the woman, <span style="font-weight: bold">Elaine Deloris McFarlane Jennings of Malton</span>, has been charged with possession of stolen property and theft.
