A Polish policeman has given himself a fine so he could meet the quota of one fine-per-day set down by his boss.
Sgt. Andrzej Tymanski, from the north-western city of Bialogard, wrote himself the five-Euro ticket for walking on a railway line because he was trying to respect the rules laid down by the local police chief.
He said: "I was not prepared to fine someone who had not broken the law just to meet the quota - so I walked on the railway line - and fined myself."
