What they must do today to get into work in Manhattan... OMG!!
Brooklynites must walk across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan - like our ancestors did in the 19th century - to get into Manhattan... and THEN they must continue to hoof it to work... to Wall Street (not too far) or to midtown (A LOOOOOONG walk!), wherever!!! *shock*
They can take the subway into the Barclay Center... but once there, they must get into the line that circles the entire Barclay Center TWICE AROUND to wait for a bus to take them into Manhattan to get to work!! OMG!
SO many of them are choosing to just walk it, instead - it'll be faster. Wow!
They want (or need?) to keep their jobs. They haven't got a choice. But their spirit isn't broken. Nope. They are in good spirits. The interviewed Brooklynites are pretty much, "Its Mother Nature. What can we do? So we have to wait... So it takes me two hours, three hours, to get to work... I have to go to work, I need to keep my job."
