I listened to a journalist press the PM on this issue... She kept answering in generalities and cliches...and he did tell her that she did not answer the question
low income workers don't qualify for mortgages, but she is going to build houses with funds for unemployed non contributors in the innercity....??? Now I will be crucified for saying this.. This is not the function of the NHT....there are other agencies for this
Yet she dressed it in her self as a champion of the poor..
There is a question in my mind how the hell they built up such a cash pile in the first place.. Should they not have been building houses, giving mortgages to those who contributed.. .this would have recycled the money and made the fund sustainable.. in fact it would have added value as the value of the investment in the house would increase while the cash pile value has been decreasing.
