Had to go downtown today. What a mess. Apparently the TTC had signaling problems and major delays. DVP was jammed as usual and a major accident made it impossible for Go busses to leave from Union station after the accident and the problem continued into the evening when I left down there.

A crash involving two vehicles in a downtown Toronto intersection injured 10 people and caused massive problems for commuters on Wednesday afternoon.
Toronto police say they were called to the scene of the collision at Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard at 1:21 p.m.
By the late afternoon, Toronto police said 10 people had been hurt. There was no immediate explanation for earlier reports that had said eight or nine people were injured.
The CBC's Ivy Cuervo reported that a nine-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children for treatment.
Police say that one of the two vehicles involved appears to have been making a late left-hand turn when the collision occurred.
The vehicles ended up running into the corner of the intersection and struck a number of pedestrians — at least one of whom ended up trapped under a car.
A dark SUV and a light-coloured sedan were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles had a New Jersey licence plate.
Motorists are asked to use an alternate route for the time being.
The crash caused problems for people intending to take public transit, including those who would have taken the GO bus home after work.
GO buses were unable to access the bus terminal at Union Station as a result of the crash.
Instead, they were leaving from York Mills station at the other end of the city.. Customers are able to use their GO tickets to board the subway on Wednesday evening so they can get to their buses.
