Young Liam lacks the intensity and understated violence that Andy Whitfield had in the role. My attention drifts whenever Spartacus is on-screen. Crixus is too one-note; based on interviews of Manu Bennet who seems so charming and intelligent, I think the character is underdeveloped. Bennet can do much more than grimace and growl. And now that the delightfully selfish and ambitious Batiatus is gone, I'm so bored.

Seems like they focused more on getting an Andy look-alike rather than finding an actor that could really handle the role.
Shows have gone out and changed a character with someone that does not even have a slight resemblance to the old character. Hopefully this new guy will grow into the role. But I have to agree, right now he is dull.
Episode 4 was a bit better, helped by the intrigue in Capua. I think my man <span style="color: #FFFFFF">Gannicus </span>is supposed to be back next week. Can't wait.
