We did not stay the full 3 days... more report to come about that...

Yes there was an incident

Apparently some guy on drugs freaked out and stabbed 7 people I understand festival goers tackled him and tied him up. One victim had to be air lifted out, the rest were treated on the scene for superficial wounds.

After 15 years of SNWMF, nothing like this has ever happened

This festival has always been a very peaceful, very family oriented event. It saddens me to know that something like that happened...
I hope that it does not tarnish the festival itself... From what I read security was not quick to respond

Morgan Heritage was wonderful, and you are right jagypsy Gramps was singing to me


The whole crowd was into the show, and the vibe was nice!

Once they were done, I went back to camp to check on Imanni and his Daddy. They were sound asleep

I walk up toward the Valley Stage and the croud was THICK!

There was no way I would get up close now... I decided to watch from the grand stands.
So I grab a seat in the front row, just as they announce Buju!!

I could not get a good picture from this distance to save my life so I stuck with video... hope unno like them

It was pretty chilly outside and there was an organic coffee stand calling my name down the way...

So I stood in line and got a latte' then I decided to roam around a while by myself...


I went and checked out the Dance Hall and the Village Stage...
I did some people watching and sipped my coffee...
As I made my way back to the main stage I heard Buju singing one of Beres' songs

I tried to get up close to no avail...

Back to the grand stands I went, and just in time...

Buju called Morgan Heritage back on stage and he sang a a song with Gramps








The vibe did sweet you see

Fyah...

After Buju they had fire dancers on the ground in front of the stage...

We could not see them very well, but I thought of blu ( ) as I took this video...





Sometime that evening the smoke started to roll in


It seems the thunderstorm on Friday sparked a fire and by Sunday morning the air quality was horrible!







Below is a pic I took on Friday it is the same view as the above pic...
You can't even see the mountains above the trees in the one from Sunday





As soon as I opened the tent I grabbed Imanni's inhaler and gave him a dose

His Father and I decided then, that we would not be staying there again Sunday night...

We agreed to pack up camp, and leave if Imanni had even the slightest cough...

I am loving this whole story up till now with the smoke! I especially loved your video of MH and Imanni of course! I love the pic of you too, smiling away like so much fun! jagypsy!!! Great to see you, thanks for adding some great video and photo!

The smoke: CA has been burning up from the north to the south with wildfires. I didn't notice any difference in air quality on Saturday while at the festival. I saw maybe 5 or so people walking around with their faces covered by a scarf and wondered what it was about????? However, on Sunday when I walked out of the motel room I stayed in (ahhh, sleep!) POW, the smoke was very noticeable. There were alot of volunteer firefighters that worked hard to keep the fires from spreading. Bless them!

One thing I want to share about Bandanna that alot of you already know--There is something about her that brings a smile to the heart of those she is around. Her kindness is genuine and her laugh is contagious. When you see her with Imanni, the love they share is a really precious thing to see and feel. (please don't be P.O.'d at me B for saying this ).

Thanks Nanook. I have a few more to post later on. Maybe we can twist your arm to make the trip out sometime?!
