Hmm. It seems very bizarre. Did she shoot it with an invisible camera? I can't quite believe that not one soul looked at the camera passing by. And even there at the end, those couples standing there looking at the sky didn't feel to turn their head to look at the nekkid black woman walking by?

I'm not saying that some of the people might not have been there by chance, but most of them did not have what I would consider normal reactions.

hmmm i dont know what video u are watching but i saw lots of ppl looking at her and the camera. plus if u visit the part of Dallas where she shot the video u would know that u are liable to see anything at any given time and ppl are used to that by now. plus the camera person did a good job of mostly staying focused on her and not on other ppl since it was about her and not about other ppl's reactions.

and u can tell in the interview on the news that the lil girl was rehearsed on what to say. she didnt seem traumatized to me at all. plus at the point where Erykah walked by them she still had on her bra, and pants

yep and if u really pay attention at the beginning of the video u will see that there are at least 3 ppl that turned and looked and one guy was picking her clothes and stuff up running to give it to her i think

when i just looked at it, i counted roughly 15 ppl (including kids) that were looking although i'm sure there were much much more that werent caught on camera.

I am not suggesting that no one looked at her. I said I found it odd that at the end folks were looking up at the sky. Check the couple with the man in the red shirt. Odd behavior. They are extras.

Also, unless she was wearing the camera, in which case we would not have seen her but just the folks looking, then of course there will be shots of folks looking at her. My doubt comes from nobody in the 30 second walk looked directly at the camera, giving a shout out to their mama, saying on snap our home state artist Badu is walking round here with no clothes on, etc.

Again, I am willing to accept that everyone was not hired. Things aren't always what they seem so I know that at least some of them were hired. Their reactions make it inconceivable that they were not.

Haven't been to Dallas since I was a teen but they seemed to be sickeningly conservative in general.

At any rate, I liked the video just fine. I liked the spoken message at the end the most and found it to be quite true.

thats part of the reason the city officials are upset. but again in that part of Dallas where the video was shot, ppl see stuff all the time.

Also ppl are used to seeing ppl with a camera and making videos and stuff so ppl dont do that &quot;hey mama i'm on TV business&quot; like talking about it around here like that no more. Ppl see the Dallas Mavs and Cowboys and other performers all the time in Dallas. It's nothing to walk down the street in certain parts of Dallas and see famous ppl and most ppl dont act a fool because it semi-normal to see stars here or there.

and actually u did say not a soul looked at her or in the camera or something along those lines. it could be possible that a few ppl were extras and strategically placed along the path she had to walk maybe to make sure ppl didnt rush out and try to interrupt the video or something but i dont think thats how it went at all based on what i read and heard on the news. she even said herself that she heard ppl yelling things at her.

Anyways, that was a planned, locked off video shoot.

Ms Badu was just wining it. She was always eccentric and doin some wild shyt. So she had to top her self to get the publicity i guess. Plus, wid ppl like Lady gaga and Beyonce and fi dem videos....an older singer w/ no dance skills tryin to make a come back has ot go above and beyond

The premise was still the same though: removing the 'trappings' and moving on... Badu just took it all off...that's all...

I didn't get the point of Erykah's vid I mean, it prolly would've made more sense if she'd jumped out of the car before it went over a cliff, instead of getting out, locking it and then paying the meter...

Shoot... she don't want them to tow her car, but she don't mind if they steal her clothes and examine her cellulite???

I kept drawing parallels to J Lo's vid. And that's never a good thing

Badu is usually more creative - but this video missed the mark. Or maybe not, cause it's got us talking... Although, this is prolly not what she wanted us to be talking about...
