Is God for real ?

That was written by a man supposedly named Moses.....

According to the 'word'...'god' created 'man'. Not the first 'invention' but I suppose we needed somewhere firm in order to stand as Noah hadn't come along yet and the arc was nothing but a pipe dream....not to float to the surface until somewhere between amoebas, swimming lessons and the internet.

According to whose word?????? that same man named Moses.

The 'good book/version 1...you know...prior to the 'invention' of Jesus [son of god version] and the opportunity for others other than the 'chosen people' to obtain a lease somewhere in heaven' suggests that it took 'god' 6 days before it was deemed fit to tinker with the idea of 'man'. 6 days? Darwin would beg to differ but that's a whole different ballgame. Still...we have agreed that man invented god. So then...who created man? Which came first the egg? So who's the chicken? And what of the rooster? Plus... who diagrammed the how-to sex lessons?

Okay the entire book of Genesis is said to be written by Moses.
Darwin was writing another story.....though there is some argument whether or not he created that theory, I will credit him with it.
You asked the question who created Man.....I will answer that Nature Formed Man.

We know that men [and women] have invented all kinds of things including cars. But Henry Ford didn't drive a car to work on the morning of the day he first invented an automobile. He didn't even drive one to work 6 days later.

This invented 'god'...the one we're discussing here will hang in there until mankind, at long last, finally "helps itself" and discovers how 'it' [the creation of earth and beyond] really all came together. You and I won't be living HERE when that finally happens. And even after it does it'll take 2 or 3 generations to finally flush all of this religious 'blarney' down the old flushola [which men also invented]. But one day the Holly Bibble and all RE-LIE-jun[k] will be laid to it's final resting place as the human race comes to grips with the fact that we've been divided and conquered long enough. And always...only for money and power.

Yes some men were afraid but some were also curious.
Yes Mankind helping themselves is also a part of curiosity.
The bible in a sense is a record of Man's Search for and Maintenance of Civilization.....in another sense it is Man's attempt to fulfill Mankind's greatest potentials.
Originally Religion is Mankind trying to understand his Spirituality and Place.....Organize religion is usually a form of mass control - which is not a bad thing in and of itself.

If the 'god' which supposedly exists HAD created 'man' there'd have been a re-call a long, Long, LONG, L O N G time ago. There wasn't because we created...

I think would have preferred if man hadn't created their 'supreme being' as merely just another man. Why could this force only be a man? It's not like 'he' drops by for a chat...or even some kind of regular inspection of the 'troops'. 'he' hasn't passed by looking for a little 'action' since, they claim, he and Mary cheated on Joseph. Nice.

As for burning bushes...all I ever see are humans trying to put those out...before they spread.

I'm just not buying the 'official' version[s]. I even stopped looking up to see if I could find Jack, his beanstalk and that other giant in the clouds.

Not sure when exactly Moses found time to do all that writing you credit him with. Did he carry a laptop on the mass exodus to the 'promised' land? If so...he and Aesop have much in common.

Is God for real or God only exists in the mind of man? What I understood about the mind of man is if it doesn't have a solid explanation a theory is automatically manufacture in mind based on what it physically saw.

As child growing up, I usually believe in santa Claus coming to give me a gife. When I grew older, I realized it is nothing but a bunch of rubbish.

In ancient days, the mind of man thought the earth was flat. Later, ancient explorer of the sea realize they were ending up at same spot again.

In the case of a God it does make it unreal..There just isn't any evidence of a God

First the "Supreme being" is not "merely just another man" regardless if you are not satisfied you can choose, Hinduism which provide a plethora of God and Goddesses in all shape and forms and types.

Well in my youth a have burn and lit up many a bush I wish would never go out.....today I stick to Hi-Grade.

The supposed author Moses could have Copy and paste from another source.....who knows what was lost in copying.
Not sure what he had but according to some reports it was a type of laser printer that can cut stone.

THIS IS HOW I SEE IT

The story about Adam and Eve wasn't inspired by any God. During the time of Abraham Egypt was the only developed nations of that time. The reason why I say this is because everytime there is a famine they always look to Egypt as a safe
heaven.

I am assuming Abraham didn't know anything about the beginning of genesis or the flood because there was no God to tell him that.

Moses was schooled in Egypt and read about beginning of creation. There was symbols written all over one of the cave in Egypt. Moses learn how to read those symbols . Moses kept all that information in his mind. When moses went to the mountain it wasn't to talk to God. He went to the mountain to finish wrote the book of Genesis. He remembering everything he read and learn in egypt and translate them in to Hebrew and Greek.

God was use to drive fear into the people so they would follow the law of the land.

Because Moses wrote these things from what he memorized from Egypt, it was hard to translate them into Hebrew and Greek. Most of the stories was missing because it was hard to translate into Hebrew. As Moses gets older, he remembers less

God is a crutch for the weak minded and religion is nothing more than a con game used to prey on those who belive.

For many, believing in magic is easier than admiting that we are tiny insignificent creatures who do not know and will never know the origins of the universe.

to me, all these arguments have to be qualified by exactly what is one's definition of "God";

if one is basing it on popular religious concepts, especially christianity & islam, then that is limiting the idea of "god" based on certain specific religious traditions & is therefore limited-- and can not be assumed to be the only concepts of "god"...
hinduism, bhuddism, shintoism, confucianism, voudon, etc. have different concepts as well...for example buddhists don't purport to explain the origin of the universe...

also to be fair, there have been very strong-minded & good people as well who lived life based on the guiding principles of a perceived "god/s", religion or spiritual philosophy
