Him bite up di neighbor dem - from toddler all di way up to modda. Him was always a crazy one but dis a get bad now. Di last one him bite was yessiday and dem haffi carry di pickney go doctor. Mi lucky dem nuh inna di suing business.

Mi nuh really waan euthanize but is 7 months of him a push him luck

and no is not a lack of attention.

what will the humane society do wid him ef him cannot be adopted

Wow That sounds tough. One thing I am not is very knowledgeable in cat behavior.

Is this activity taking place inside your house? Does the cat stalk his victims and just pounce on them and go in for the kill?

If an animal is turned into the humane society, depending on where you live they will try to give him a break but chances are that he will be put down. Better we can try to fix the problem rather than turn it over to someone else if we can!



Since I am not a cat problem expert I will go play with google for a bit. likkle more...

yes chances are he will be put down if u carry him in and he's not adopted....unless you find a no kill shelter willing to take him.

Good luck with your kitty. The thing about an aggressive animal when turned into a shelter is that there are so many homeless animals right now due to the housing and economy crisis so one with bad behaviors probably really doesn't have a chance.

Your other option should you decide to part with him, would first to try to find a person who is into cat rehabilitation who will take him in.

thanks everyone for the suggestions - unfortunately my situation is so special i am not sure i have many options.

nanook, i scanned through that article about the cat whisperer and my boy sounds like he was taken from his mom too early. he belonged to my friend who actually called him beenie - caw him was tiny and also kinda after beenie man.

beenie was confined to a 1-br apartment with a bachelor who was hardly home and i thought it was driving him crazy so i offered to take him. i already had a cat and a huge house and yard.

well di first day di puss come him bite mi and lick him lips literally!

mi tink him wuda mellow out with age. alla di neighborhood pickney dem love our cats but i always had to warn about not petting beenie too much. he will have enough and just bite you instead of just going bout him business.

when i moved i couldn't take him. my neighbor took him - actually two different families took care of him - food, water, litter and attention at both houses so him decide where him waan sleep at night. i pay his vet and food bills.

well at house 1 him bite mother (send har go ER wid infection) and son (8 yr old) who was playing basketball (had to go to clinic).

at house 2 (di primary caregiver) him bite di toddler (3 yr old) and dem have a baby so of course dem fraid and nuh want him nuh more.

mi cyaan tek him back, mi nuh live inna di neighborhood nuh more and mi have a week fi decide weh fi do wid him .

(sorry fi di blog but bwoy is a hard ting fi deal wid)

i understand FT...me did almost pack up mad puss and tek har to the shelter one time... me did guh thru more than me used to with her, and at one point it did look like she just doan belong in a home with young children.

she still here because that day she run and hide and me couldn't catch her.

*she* seems to be mellowing with age, and she and likkle beans look like dem declare a truce....

anyway all that to say that i understand that is not easy to give up a pet...(((( ))))

yes mi understand too cause mi did have one mad kitten but after him scratch up likkegen (10000 times) and dig him claws into me heel like him a hunt mi had to tek him to the shelter

he was found on the streets before i got him so him did kinda wild, and him was not mellowing with age.

I understand you are in a dire straits position with this poor kitty. It seems he totally lacked socialization when you acquired him Is it remotely possible for the kitty go go to another home where there are no children about?

How is he with other cats? Maybe a situation with no other children in the home and yet another kitty for him to socialize with. It doesn't sound as though he is the most sociable with other people and maybe he never will be at this point but he could still live a happy life if he finds a companion in another one of his kind.


I don't know how the rescue groups and humane societies work where you are, but here we have several different ones and they are no kill. One lady takes in many cats at a time in her home and fosters them and works with rehabilitating them.Maybe you could make some calls and try to pursue this option. It really does sound like the kitty should not be around young children at this time.

Well, let's see what other ideas we can come up with.

thanks everybody. mi feel likkle hopeless caw b4 di neighbor tek him mi try get him placed and mi call bout 11 shelters from eugene to seattle with no luck. him in portland. di ooman want him out by dis week a come so mi going to try anedda round of calls again dis week and see if someone would take him.

he is ok with other cats. he is playful but plays ruff. i think he would be great on a farm - like a barn cat. i just don't know anyone who have that situation and can tek him.

as if mi did expect a different answer, mi call humane society. of course di long and short of it is dat dem a go kill him. &quot;State Law&quot; did murderers say as soon as mi mention bite. and mi haffi pay an additional $10 fi dem quarantine and kill mi puss.

mi think mi wuda better off let him loose inna di boonies and start a prayer circle and beg di universe to mek a good samaritan tek him in.

di edda option is fi carry a mi rented yawd, weh have all kinda neighborhood puss fi him get inna more trouble wid and just slip him some food and wata a day time until mi figure sinting out mi need a 'hold mi head smiley' /0\
