That's BAD! I remember in the early days at training there was one obedience trainer that used to give me a hard time because I would always carry my little dogs into the building. Hell, I never knew what was going to come from around the corner and I wasn't about to take any chances!

I'd hear..."here comes Stephanie CARRYING her dogs even though they have 4 legs".

Little dogs were not as common at the time, not the fad or whatever...

Well, now years later....they tell the people with the little dogs to carry them in because they don't know what is around the next corner! hmpf. Then again, I do recall hearing about a Yorkie being killed by a larger breed at another local training facility.

Yep, pick him up and carry!!!

I talked to my brother in Marshfield MA this evening. He was complaining about kids on a fence across the street teasing the German Shepard in the yard.

Why don't people watch their kids? Why don't people teach their kids to treat animals with kindness?????

On a happier note the boy (Pit bull) next door is doing fine. He comes to the fence when we go out there (during the day)because we give him treats. But at night him turn bad man.

Watching Cesar on Friday night he has a new vest for the dogs with "In training, No touch, no talk, no eye contact" printed on it.

The boy next door wags his tail and comes to the fence when he sees any one from this yard approach. He accepts treats politely through the fence.

I am so glad he was spared

I just went looking for this thread to see how long my pal next door was there was there. The kid incident happened when he was there a week or so.

A couple of weeks back the owner told me that he had not actually bitten the kid. He had jumped on him and a claw gut the kids face.

I was so happy the parent was fair. This incident could have cost a great dog his life.
