The dog is fine. I saw his owner this morning. He has the house. I hope he will go in. (we will try to throw a piece of turkey bacon in there later.

His owner is actively looking for a rental home where he can have his dog again. He has promised to build him a shelter (the opening to the dog house I found is a little small but he can get in and out)

The owner said that he has always been an outdoor dog. This owner got him about 3 years ago (I thought he was younger as he is very playfull) The elderly (white) man that had him kept him outside (I do not know if he had shelter)

The guy that owns him now said he had the run of a large fenced yard and would go on to the patio when it rained. He is hopeing to find a similar arrangment. He promised he will see that dog has adequate warmth and shelter.
Hopefully this boy will soon have a happy home again.

I am so glad to hear JD, if dogs are outside they should be sheltered from the element. my three dogs are always outside, they are guard dogs basically but they have their shelter and it is warm for winter, they are not house dogs or pets.

Hope the owners get a permanent place soon so doggie can feel comfortable.

I'm not sure if he is using his new home. When I went out this morning he was chilling in a hole he dug under a bush. I think that is his den of choice. We will have to put some treats inside the water proof house.

I wonder if a soft blanket or some straw would help make it more enticing. Either way, it is a GOOD DEED you did JD! And, if it gets cold and wet again hopefully he will go inside the little house. Rosebud won't go in one either, but that's a different problem...she is spoiled rotten!

I put to freshly washed bathroom throw rugs in there. Fussy lkkle bugger.

my janaary rent check bounce and mi facing possible eviction and its -45 C plus a wind chill...u tink u can spare mi $1500 Euro

This boy slept in my garage with 2 old comforters last night. He was in the house at times but was CRAZY happy and not house broken. He is really sweet and affectionate with us (and would like to be in here with us). He is just sleeping here temporarily due to extreme weather.

I have never seen him use the house. So the bottom half of the house is in the garage with blankets in it.
The owner and I have agreed that during bad weather he can bed down in the garage (till they find a house)

He plays to rough for Barney (but was not being aggressive). Barney was annoyed this morning so this guy have to be in the garage. But atleast he is not out in the cold. When the dryer is on it warms the garage up. And he stayed dry last night.

I can't understand people that leave their dogs out in this cold. Don't they understand that they can freeze to death. There have been numerous rescued dogs that have frozen feet and legs round these parts (temperature is 18) they can't survive without some kind of shelter, hay, blankets. One dog was found shivering so bad they brought him to the vets and he might have to be put down. The body shuts down after too much cold. Its cold here but I know its colder in other parts of the country. I couldn't and wouldn't leave a living thing outside.

Georgia is LOW on the list for taking good care of its animals Stuff that happens down here would NEVER happen up north...if it did there would be HELL to pay

I do not understand people either.

These are his 2nd owners (they are Jamaican) The man told me he got him from an old white man that went in to a nursing home. He said that the dog has always been an out door dog. But he had a covered pation to get out of the rain. The owner had put a heavy blanket in the house. But. from wht i saw the dog never went in it. He dug a hole and laid in it when it was cold and rainy.

This dog has a great personality. He is very affectionate (but is like a big baby Hughie) He barks when some comes near the yard.

He deserves a better life. If i did not already have a male I would offer to keep him.

Hopefully his owners will find dog friendly housing soon.

look, di people dem no have a roof over dem owna head much less...no dat u say...de owners lost dem house and currently no live no weh?

mi no agree seh dem fi leff di dog out inna di rain etc but dem dem self are "out in di cold" yuh know oomuch people not even have one pieca a ole blanket much less.

To us it may seem selfish wah dem doing holding on to di dog in hopes of finding a place soon...but maybe di ppl dem love dem dawg (if smaddy can love dawg) and dont waan to just geet weh to shelter so.

neways wat u doing is very kind so if u can dweet dweet and dont judge.and dont murma murma needa else dis put back di people dawg which pawt him did deh cus him na beg u fi come tek him up and come blast him business pan intanet

I believe that the man and his son do love the dog. He is a great dog.

A lot of people lost omes in south Florida. They have a roof over their heads but can not have the dog there.

I know that they are looking.

I have seen the man in front of houses in this area that have for rent signs out front with his cell phone in his hand.

I don't mind helping out a likkle here and there.
