If the dog ate aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen then these could contribute to toxicity and bloody stools in the dog. This happened to one of our dogs that ate a Tylenol capsule that fell on the floor.
Keesha, we assumed Tango got it from eating cat poo from the back yard. Stry cat love to use mi garden as a litter box, and Tango is usually unsupervised back there.
My pit got very sick from eating cat poop back in the 80's.
I have caught Barney digging it up in my sandy little back yard.
Bella is recovering. She got 2 shots (one for nausea and one for dirrhea) She is getting 2 pills (I believe one is Flagyl)
She refuses to eat white rice. (They tried boiled hamburger and rice) She picked the beef out and ate it.
The vet they normally use was closed. They were not happy with the emergency place they went to. The dog was bloody from the shots, they were not nice. It was $$$.

Glad to know Bella will be ok.
I had to with the white rice ting.. Clancy does that as well, but he just spits the white rice out of the bowl onto the floor

What a spoiled buch. Barney will not eat plain white rice but he will eat the hamburger and rice. All the dogs I had in the past would eat plain white rice.
My dog has the rice hatred too. Strictly picking out the lil bit of ground beef mixed in lol. That is one of the things that stopped me from trying to cook food for her instead of just buying dog food.
Well, if they are all at the same vet then it is likely they are from the same area and it is indeed going around.
My vet broke me up from taking Butterfly to the closest dog park to use because he said they have parasites there more than a lot of other places. Apparently it floods when it rains and when it dries out, he has dogs coming in with all kinds of things. So that one is off the list now.
It's always something huh? But I am glad he told me.

I would not have thought of that. I only knew not to take a young pup that has not had all of the vaccines yet to places like that.
I'm glad that Bella will be OK! We do need to be prudent about where we take the fur kids, but at the same time we can't just keep them in the house. I even worry about supposedly safe places such as going to class. Many dogs wander in and out of the building from all over, and who knows where they have been?
Dropping off a stool sample at the vet is not very costly, and in most cases doesn't require an office visit. If parasites are present, they will more than likely just fill a script for some meds and away you go.
