We brought Luigi home today. We had to put his cage on a stereo cabinet (higher than the stand) Barney is very interesred in him. I hope he loses interest soon.

He was quiet for a while. Now he is whistling away.

Congrats! Barney may or may not lose interest. When it is time for birdie to have a little romp time, Barney might have to go to a different room for a while.

I miss the Cockatiel whistles.

CRAP! I was hoping that he would eventually lose interest.

Barney was in the yard this morning while jr. cleaned the cage. Luigi sat on my arm.

If Barney has a strong prey drive he may always view the bird as prey. But, he might get used to him and not pay much attention after awhile. Time will tell!

I looked through the books I have left after a major purge and all I have left is a book on Conures. If you would like it I will send it to you.

yes, he finds him stimulating all right. He is sitting there watching Luigi licking his chops.

When any one shows Luigi attention Barney comes running. He seems very jealous too.

We are so used to seeing Barney be a sweet lovable pet. Now it is kind of strange to see him as a predator. But, he really is.

Still, he may chill. We do not handle Luigi while Barney is in the house. He still prefers to be handled by jr.

I also think Luigi is messing with Barney. When Barney goes to his bed Luigi whistles

Luigi goes to the bottom of his cage and scurries back and forthon foot (sometimes he puts it in reverse) Is this normal?

They do all sorts of comical funny things. Do you have gravel for him? Otherwise, you would notice if he was ill. he would be off his food, or puffed up, and generally look sick. Eyes closed a lot and things like that.

He is eating and singing. He seems fine (other than he acts like a &quot;crack head&quot; as jr put it)

Good news! I was thinking he might be looking for gravel though, they do need that.

You are making me want a bird again! But I keep my house too cold in winter for one. Same with aquarium fish. I used to have several going and they were fun to watch and made great night lights. Once I even had a cat fall into one aquarium when it was sitting on top watching the fish below! It was the funniest dammit thing!
