It seems like South Florida has so many bad owners .

Yes, Animal Control next time. But, then I either have to get Mr. JD to take her or get a rescue group to take her. I would feel responsible if she gets put down.

She looks like either a Mini Pin or Manchester terrier mix. She looks like Barney except she has big ears that stand up strait and no blue tongue. Her snoot is also narrower.

I went to the gym at the club house / HOA this morning. I walked by Barney's girlfriend's (&quot;Maria&quot; is her name) yard today. Good news. She was not out running around..

Hopefully she is trying to better because she cares for the puppy and has realized what a likkle escape artist she is.

Barney and this dog got along very well. I may ask her owner if she can come play sometimes But, I'm sure she thinks that I'm a pain in the but.

Some kids just were just at my door with Maria. They said she was across the street. They are going to bring her home. If no one is there they will bring her back here.

My son said he saw the people working on the fence where she lives. So I was hoping she would not be out running around any more.

Dyam. Sorry! I feel helpless to suggest anything. It is so stupid! The outcome of the poor dog staying with the same people doesn't look promising.

3 strikes and they are out. If the kids bring her here again I will bring her to animal control and leave a deposit. I hope they will not bail her out

It is good that the kids in neighborhood look out for her . They said she seems to be good at avoiding getting hit. She seems to have a good temperament (one of the kids was carrying her home).

I think I can get Mr JD to agree. Certainly if he sees her running around loose he'll give in I better start shopping for another crate just in case.

My step son just brought her here. He said some kids had here. It was not the same kids who brought her here (looks like they just left her in the yard) They were going to take her home.He said that he knew who owned her. Maybe he should have let them take her

Mr. JD is saying not to take her to animal care (they are closed now anyway).

ETA she is hungry tonight

But, if they come here I have no choice but to give her back. I'm not leaving a note today

Ok , so Jr. goes and tells the lady we have her dog.. He told her that she was in the yard playing with our dog. She asked if that was ok. He claims that the lady asked if she could stay here tonight She said she needs to get a leash.

Oh jeeze JD, this all around sucks. Both for you and the dog! Maybe offer the woman 50 bucks for the dog and see what happens. When I was very young I acquired a dog that kept running from a neighbor house. It was a golden retriever cross and his name was Nipper. There were about 12 kids in the family but the dog kept coming to my porch. My dad went and offered the family money and they just said forget it, and gave him the dog for me. In your case, the woman might just take the money from the sounds of things.

Better yet, offer her 25.00, and she might up it to 50. Sounds to me like they would just go get another dog though, so probably in real life, animal control is the only solution. At least that way there will be records kept!

In Nippers case he was a lucky boy. The house and family all burned up in a fire a couple of months later!

I don't know. Mr JD is being stubborn . He is acting gruff and refusing to like her. She is not house broken (not her fault) Jr was supposed to be watching her and she did her business in the house. If she stayed here (and I had another crate) she could be house broken quickly.

Mr JD would have taken Tyson (the pit next door where we used to live) But he had gotten to know him before it was even considered. He was also an exceptional boy.

But, Maria has potential. She is sweet and wants to please (but she has all that puppy energy)

Let's see if her owner comes her.


ETA the owner said she is about 4 or 5 month old. I think she is a likkle older. She may be in heat ( I see likkle spots of blood on the patio. And Barney (he is neutered) keeps trying to do her)

I'll have to check feet and stuff. It would be better if one of them has a minor cut.

If she is in heat this is really bad. She will soon be pregnant the way she keeps getting out.
