Sorry it took so long, but it was a busy day and it is not so easy to get a picture of a standard poodle on the move...

I am getting used to looking at her without the top knot on her head, I had hoped for some to be left. I have the winter to grow it out so we can put it in a pattern of my choice (I am leaning towards the historically correct continental, which is a short version of what you see in the show ring)..I think I will keep her like that in summer, cut it all down in fall and re-gro, so she can play in the snow and we won't have to worry about her hair! The snow collects in little balls..

The only difference is...I will leave hair on top of her head. She has a beautiful head but still, I like them with a top knot.

I almost cried when I saw her. She looks so little! I miss the top knot. But, it is hair, it will grow and grow and grow and non stop grow till I'll wish it would stop, lol.

paris looks great - she looks like she is so happy to not have to get all that grooming - that top knot thing must have drove her crazy with folks fussy on it

i swear she has a smile on her face!

Oh Nanook Paris is so very pretty. Before Lil Alex I have always had poodles and just love them. She looks so happy to be back home.

Thanks everyone! She resumed her spot at the top of the bed next to my pillow like she never left. She has grown up some in the 6 months and that is a good thing because winter is coming and we'll be inside a lot.

For today and sounds like maybe tomorrow yet before the cold comes...we're playing outside. I still don't have one decent photo! She zooms very fast and doesn't get far enough away very often for me to get a pic.

She discovered horse apples today.

Walter is FREAKED out. Walter never saw her before!

Anyway, another bad picture but you can see her non hair and that she is having fun!

Thanks alla uno. I am so happy to have her home. This is day 3 and Walter is still totally freaked out! Paris is very interested in him, of course. It will take awhile but sooner or later they will become friends. I am not getting involved, Walter is big enough now he can fend for himself and Paris would never try to hurt him. Walter has the upper hand, let's just say he sure can move fast! I look forward to taking pics of my fluffy white poodle with her black kitteh.

She is enjoying having me rub her head top and neck, something that was a little trickier before. She is getting used to it fast! I do like there to be a couple of inches of hair on the head top, but even by Christmas she will have fluff up there.

I must say bath time will be a lot quicker and drying time will now be less than a half hour! Hard to believe I can wash and dry in under an hour now. That's good because she will get regular baths every 10 days or 2 weeks or whenever she gets dirty. Pantene is our friend!

This is her moments ago. I WAS gonna watch Survivor while sprawled on the couch but as you can see that ain't happenin. It's Ok, I would have fallen asleep if I get horizontal anyway...

She is VERY happy to be home! I am so happy to have her home.

During our big snowstorm this weekend, for once I didn't have to stress about her hair getting wet for a change, which was soooo nice. She can get as wet as she wants now!

Thanks Kia, I am getting used to the short hair but I wish there was some on her head top! However, Poodles are hair factories so it will be back before I know it! I sure do like not having to worry about her getting wet! And Rosebud can knock her down when they play now, which I couldn't let happen before.

She is so dainty compared to my tank of a Doberman. Rosebud is not fat, she is just bulky and charges around like a tank!

Paris is still infatuated with Walter, and Walter is still NOT happy. I have been sitting with the two of them together so Walter can start to realize that Paris is just enthusiastic and not going to hurt him. Poodles sure do have a strong prey drive! Doberman's have almost none. This part of being owned by a poodle is very different from what I'm used to!

Hi Nooks, I don't come around as often as I used to......I'm ok. It's about time for you to winterize again....boy time sure does past fast. Will be beargrease time again soon.

I assume Walter is a new kitty?
