If there's a phone in the room, make sure the ring can be turned off. A radio/CD player would be nice too. Good lighting and a comfortable chair.

I haven't really had guest stay with us for a long period of time, other than our friends from JA who don't require much...

Increase the amount and type of alcohol in hte house... Take the ooman shapping suh Red and im papi cyan guh dung to the locally watering hole to indulge... Dont take the man shapping except to car show rooms and electrical stores...

Yu house clean and dry thats all men need... They are over to see you not to look at the decour.... (Just be your charming self) Bring some local tourism brochures place of interest ect... For them.. Plan to take them to places you think they will like.. Though not make it a everyday thing...

Also remeber they may simply say its up to you.... Dont ignore the Red Man.... Be mind ful of their needs. As Red is a warm wonderful wiht an un imidede couriosity person I expect his father to be similar.... And may behave with defential to you ie use terms like "its up to you",

However it is your house and you have to function in it... So you two are the boss....

(To me the ultimate would be if I went to stay with someone and they arranged a car for my use!)

Or you could organise a walking party like the one you had in Ja last year!

Boundie sometimes its smooth sailing having visitors for a more than short stay, but no doubt you and Red will see before your very eyes just how adaptable and reasonable people can be by having them live in your domain.

Well, you know how cakes you eat in JA are naturally sweet, usually with blended up fruit? And the cakes up here are overly sweet and made from a box? That's what I meant. If I had a good cake recipe, one to make from scratch, that wasn't overly sweet. I would attempt it.

Another thing, a choice of pillows, if you can. Nothing worse than hating the one and only pillow you are offered.

Robes are a nice touch, too. Extra blanket and extra sheet, in case they get cold, or find your spread hot, but the one top sheet is not enough. A small bowl of fruit, and snacks (like biscuits) along with some napkins tucked under discreetly in the bedroom is nice, too.

Yes, I like the idea of slipper b/c the bathroom is not near the guest bedroom. I want there feet to be comfy as they go from the bathroom to the bedroom to get dressed after their shower.
