mi too.. but i have vicarious satisfaction in having to design a bar but mi ooda prefer use the kitchen

Well our contractor told us to expect it to take about 90 days. They started on August 24. So with that in mind we would expect to be in around the end of November....but I am shooting for Early December just to allow for any unforseen problems. As long as we are settled in for Christmas I will be happy. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Kia, actually all the permits had to be issued prior to them even starting...we do have to wait for inspections...but so far that has gone well. The inspectors are required to respond within 24 hours of being called...

I have to give kudos to our builder...he knows what he is doing...he calls for the inspector about half a day before they really need one that way there is no down time while waiting. He has his sub contractors all lined up and again...no waiting. The rate we are going...we are actually ahead of schedule. Of course the great weather we have been having has helped. Sistagirl...it is exciting...but we have actually started our lives together living in my old house...or I shoudl say my old SMALL house. Two bedrooms, one bathroom [img]/forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img], and very small. ITs been cozy and a real test. But so far so good...agian...this great weather we are having is helping because we can be outside...when KYle has friends over...they play outside.

I dont know how a person could live in a house during a remodel...that would be enough to make you crazy...plus I would think it would slow down the process. Plus this remodel is throughout the whole house...so its gutted....no plumbing or lighting...there would be no way to live there effectively. Thankfully my house was still sitting vacant.

I got some new pics so will post a few either later today or tomorrow.

Wow, thank goodness you could do it that way. I can't imagine a remodel and living there at the same time.. I know that people do it but I like order too much.. I would drive everyone else crazy. I will keep checkin in to see your great pics!

wow!! we are not that lucky in NJ! I had to wait 3 weeks for a flippin inspection.. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]
