membah when gratuity rate was set at 15% and most people juss do 20%(like me) cause it easier fi figure out tip...although mi guh florida and mi madda a gie waiter mussie 7% [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]...so people start EXPECT 20% when dat was not the rate

well i get my turn with the movers soon
i have finally found some one to bring my things from Atlanta to Jacksonville
it's been in storage since November 17 - the day my townshouse caught fire
it had 2 bad starts with movers that i later found out were scammers
found a website and got the 411 on movers

the mover i got quoted me $1800 which i thought was a lot for just boxes - i've bought all new furniture and sold most of the stuff before the fire anyway

used my well honed "higgling" skills and got her down to $1500 [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

i thought about doing it myself - but i couldn't imagine driving a U-Haul for 6 hours and after flying up there - it would cost about the same

taking the stuff to storage not here - 'cause after 1 year - i hardly remember what's there and i'm going to pick off of it and then donate the rest to charity

i am so looking forward to my seeing my artwork again - i hope the smoke damage and subsequent cleaning didn't mess up my stuff [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] 'cause my clothes "restoration" was a disaster and i ended up with all new clothes

some of the art work is one of a kind - keep your fingers crossed for me [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img]
