Oh, now that is purty! I like it a lot, including the stools. Will check it out in the mag.

So what did you learn about tubs, and have you made a decision?

We have made a decision to combine the old master bath + the 'kids' bathroom into one room.

The 'old master bath' which is in the old master bedroom (previous owners extended the house creating a new master suite) will contain the commode and some open shelving. The 'kids bathroom' will contain a basic tub with 2 sinks (one per jingbang).

The commode area will be separated from the main area with a frosted pocket door (but without the pocket). The existing entrance to the old master bath will remain.

The existing entrance to the bathroom will be replaced with a pocket door as well, reducing the door slamming into the existing closet. The existing closet will be reduced to accommodate the pocket door and the door of the closet will be removed.

Large baskets like these will be placed on the shelves to store the ish

I highly recommend that you try to get a bathtub that is one piece for use by children. The tile is a second alternative, but check your caulking for wear and aging down the road. The three pieced enclosures leak eventually and you may have structural problems from the leaks. My girlfriend is kicking herself all over for doing the 3 piece. It only took around 3 years for her to develop problems.

Interesting experience there Jamaica Miss.. Unfortunately a one piece tub unit wont fit in through the doors of the house,nor the hallways so either way I'll have to caulk something...
thanks for the tip I will make sure they do an extremely good job with the caulking
