Z also think about the features that are selling in the area
after the fire . . . i picked hardwoods - even for the kitchen, cherry cabinets, black granite countertops, stainless steel appliances - because that was the IN thing - and the townhouse sold the day it was finished

i don't like tile - i have hardwoods here - even in the kitchen, carpet in the bedroom and tile in the bathroom

i'm planning to replace the carpet soon - when i do i will have them make rugs for the bathrooms - i can't stand cold floors

and i can't stand it when the grout between tiles starts looking cruddy

sounds like a fun project!

Z..hardwood is in...tell her to do that..tile in kitchen is ok..if the kitchen is an open floor plan she can tile whatever area it flows to if she wants...all depends. Like my kitchen is tiled and flows into the breakfast nook. Also, my foyer is tiled but the rest of the house is hardwood, except for the bathrooms of course.

Well you said you are new to this so I was for real wondering how you were picked to do this project. You must have been trying to be humble and you really know what you are doing. YIKES! Z is going to wallop me! Sorry sorry. Tomorrow I am schedueld to be home, and I will find photos, of something, promise.

With regard to the tile though, are you thinking a material like slate or something? Or are you thinking that (yes, I will show my bias here) generic white/ivory ceramic stuff that Florida will soon be paved in?

yuh nuh si de dilemma. I wanted to do all tile and de person suggest upstairs wood and dungstairs tile.
