just changed it to a maple finish.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] but with very lite floors..

Just weighing in with my humble opinion. Hardwood floors are so much better than tile, especially in the northern climates. Properly cared for, it workds everywhere. I stand by Rich's original statement.

a light touch of black fe drama is nice, but noh all black nutten..

The more me a listen to argument fe wood, de more me assure/convince that I really dont like hardwood. I cant find one convincing argument yet, except that it mighta retain heat loss..which inna dis day and age of high utility bills is a winning argumen fe sure.. I like light hardwood floors...I had the carpet ripped up out a di house recently to reveal beautiful floors in most a di house...well...i have carpet in the basement still but otherwise is pure hardwood...and seveen..mi not a rug fan per se but in dese cold parts its a necessity
