hey- why dont you get a nice runner for the centre of table under the mirror-like fabric on the round table- let it hang a bit over each end- then put the orchid in the centre with some nice candles and holders

soo H_O dont you think the ceiling could be painted within the same family to give the room a feeling of height?

but i think she needs a color to tone down the peachy orange-and would you agree that the accent color should be the wall where her door is-behind the chair? that way if she use a green hue-it tones down the cream front door?- i also think she should paint the door a more white to get the traditional look

i think you're ideas are great...and you're very bold in throwing them out there. i, personally, find the peach too dark, but i realize that color appeals to people in dif ways. I prefer more muted tones...and less ruffles, but that's just me. so yes, i'd be all over that green and i'd take that table out entirely...

i dont know how the ceiling would look painted the same color-thats a tough one- usually if you paint the baseboards the smae color you get the height- BUT i wouldnt be painting over natural wood like that especially if it follows through the house...

no no I was thinking the ceiling painted a few shades lighter.. but not white..

I haven't seen the show yet but then again I havent watched tv in a while..

Mi personally do not have ONE decorating bone inna mi body - Skelly to me the Foyer looks very nice... an mi nuh have no suggestion to offer.

but mi been watching HGTV like a slave dese laas few months so maybe sumting will eventually stick

lol Jazz....HO schooling mi and mi tekking notes man...was just telling him that the colors have to flow throughout the house as i have quite a palette already...i am having some trouble merging all of them together but with some help from here I can tie them all in

Speaking from experience, that Ficus will be near dead and gone within six months IF it is left where it is.
At the very least it will drop most of its leaves, grow very spindly and be a mere ghost of the lush green plant it is now.
A Ficus needs a whole lot more light, not sun light but strong light or the leaves that do grow will be very small and the whole tree will get eventually and rather quickly leggy, bare and unattractive.

I suggest moving it to a brighter location or give it to a friend who has one in their house.

Do come back around March and let us know how it's doing.

I would love to be proven wrong.
