My brother's FIL had a heart attack so he is a bit preoccupied to help me haul the pieces up the stairs, and thru the back yard to the garage. I aint strong enough to do it by myself.

And....do I strike you as a chick who owns coveralls?

I have another bedroom across the hall from my office, so I want to saran wrap the room and do it in there. I can get the furnace and ducts cleaned once I am done.

you can tape off the ducts as well, and make sure you block anything from going under the door.

This weekend's project.



This is a decent piece of furniture that's been around for a while. A buffet from a 60s dining set. My kitchen is small and lacking storage so it was a perfect size for my needs with the drawers &amp; cabinet storage below.

All the other cabinetry/woodwork in the kitchen is white or will be soon. The top had a yukky finish that didn't stand up well to anything and didn't clean up well.

So.. I primed &amp; painted the bottom and sanded the top just enough for it to take the new finish. I used a Minwax gel stain that has a built in finish. I did one coat last night and will do a second coat today.

The cupboard to the left will be painted white as well, as I think it was originally a painted piece from the 40s or 50s.

I love that you stained the top of the cabinet differently!

I havent gotten around to finishing my product I have all the stuff I need, I just need to dedicate some down time to do it. Maybe during the Xmas break between Boxing Day and New years, I will finally finish.

nicely done QK!! when I first saw the picture I was thinking.. why is QK going to paint that lovely white piece of furniture only to realise it was done!

I have time. No kids. Plus I'm not out shopping coz mi gawn a yaad in 45 days!!!

It's been on my list of things to do for the past 2 years.
